ADP Celebrates ELEVATE Campaign Victory, Raising $5.45 Million for Economic Development Progress

November 13, 2025

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Area Development Partnership (ADP) announced the successful completion of its five-year private-sector fundraising campaign, ELEVATE, securing $5.45 million to help fund the organization’s 2026–2030 Economic Development Business Action Plan, a comprehensive roadmap for economic growth and community development across Greater Hattiesburg.

The ELEVATE Victory Celebration Reception, held this week, marked the official close of the campaign and the beginning of the next era of progress for the Pine Belt.

“The success of the ELEVATE Campaign represents the collective belief in the future of our region,” said Todd Jackson, Executive Vice President of the ADP. “From small businesses and major employers to individuals who made personal pledges, every investor played a part in fueling momentum that will impact job creation, talent development, and quality of place for years to come.”

ELEVATE began with feasibility interviews in late 2024, during which more than 50 business leaders shared feedback and priorities to help shape the campaign. Based on that input, the ADP adopted the ELEVATE Five-Year Business Action Plan, setting bold goals in business recruitment and retention, workforce development, and community enhancement initiatives.

The campaign’s Cabinet, formed in early 2025, led the effort during a silent phase by making significant early pledges to set the tone for success. The silent phase was followed by the public kickoff on May 14, 2025, which drew more than 150 community investors and signaled a powerful wave of local support.

“ELEVATE was more than a fundraising effort; it was a shared commitment to our region’s economic future,” said Jeff Bowman, CEO of Cooperative Energy and ELEVATE Campaign Chair. “We saw incredible engagement from every corner of the business community. The response, from Bronze-level contributors to Founder’s Circle investors, demonstrates that when we work together, we can achieve bold things for Greater Hattiesburg.”

“ELEVATE wasn’t just about reaching a number; it was about uniting people behind a shared vision,” added Chad Newell, President of the ADP. “The $5.45 million raised ensures our team has the resources needed to sustain and accelerate economic development in Greater Hattiesburg over the next five years.”

The ADP extends its sincere gratitude to every ELEVATE investor, from Bronze Level supporters to Founder’s Circle leaders, whose commitment demonstrated the community’s confidence in the region’s future.
