The 5th Annual Connect & Emerge: Event Planning Conference will take place on March 10-11 at the PRCC Woodall Advanced Technology Center in Hattiesburg, bringing together event professionals from across Mississippi and beyond for two days of connection, collaboration, and industry insight.
Produced by Emerge Events, this annual conference is designed to unite the diverse sectors of the events industry—planners, venues, caterers, rental companies, designers, marketers, nonprofit leaders, and corporate teams—under one roof. This year’s theme, “From Pieces to Possibilities,” highlights the power of bringing together the many moving parts of the events industry to create stronger, more impactful experiences
Attendees will be able to enjoy sessions on a variety of topics, including event planning strategy, sponsorship development, promotions and marketing, event safety and risk management, taxes and regulations, event design, event budgeting and more. This event also features delicious food from local caterers.
“A unique component of this event is getting to hear the behind-the-scenes stories of those involved with the event,” says Jennifer Clark, the event producer and owner of Emerge Events. “For example, we will not just eat amazing food, we will hear from the Chef and those behind the food. They will tell us their stories, their tips and tricks when working with food and catering at events, and more. This kind of opportunity doesn’t happen often.”
In addition to learning and eating amazing food, attendees will be able to connect with others in the room. Strong partnerships and collaborations are formed from these kinds of events. It is imperative that we step away from the day-to-day demands and focus on growth, strategy, and community.
